Mi Flowers Featured on MBC Samachar

Being featured on MBC Samachar — one of Mauritius's most watched Hindi news programmes — was a milestone moment for everyone at Mi Flowers. Samachar reaches homes across the island every day, and having our nursery, our plants and our story shared on such a respected platform meant the world to us.

On the news, for all the right reasons

The MBC Samachar team visited our Camp de Masque Pavé nursery to learn more about what Mi Flowers stands for. The feature explored how we grow and care for our plants, our commitment to making greenery accessible to every Mauritian household, and the community programmes that have become so close to our hearts — from welcoming school children to our nursery, to providing free plants and gardening guides to young visitors.

It was a chance to show Mauritius what happens behind the scenes: the daily care, the passion, and the team that makes Mi Flowers what it is.

Behind the Scenes: The Making of the Samachar Feature

Curious about what it looks like when a TV crew comes to a nursery? Here's a peek at how the MBC Samachar segment came together — from camera setup among the plants to the moments in between takes that made us smile.

Samachar aur hamare sapne

Being featured in a news context also gave us the opportunity to speak about the bigger picture — why green spaces matter for wellbeing, how local nurseries contribute to the island's environment, and why we believe that every Mauritian home deserves a little nature inside it. These are conversations we are proud to be part of, in every language, on every platform.

A heartfelt thank you

To the MBC Samachar team — thank you for telling our story with such care. And to every viewer who watched and then came to find us — welcome to the Mi Flowers family. We hope to see many more of you at the nursery soon.
