Mi Flowers on the air : Our Radio Interview in Hindi at MBC Studio

At Mi Flowers, we believe that the love of plants speaks every language. So when MBC — the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation — invited us to speak on one of their Hindi radio programmes, we were truly delighted to share our passion with a wider community across the island.

Reaching every corner of Mauritius

The Hindi-language broadcast gave us a wonderful opportunity to connect with Mauritian families who may not always see themselves reflected in plant and gardening content. During the interview, we spoke about the joy of growing plants at home, how to care for tropical species in our local climate, and the vision behind Mi Flowers — a nursery rooted in community, accessibility and a genuine love for nature.

We shared tips on easy starter plants for beginners, the importance of soil quality, and how even the smallest balcony or windowsill can become a little green sanctuary.

A community nursery for all

Mi Flowers has always been about more than selling plants. We want every Mauritian household — regardless of background or language — to feel welcome at our nursery and confident in caring for their own green space. Being featured on MBC's Hindi programming brought us one step closer to that dream.

Thank you MBC

We are grateful to MBC and to everyone who tuned in and reached out to us after the broadcast. Your warm messages reminded us why this work matters. If you heard us on the radio and are curious about visiting the nursery, we’d love to welcome you in person. Come say hello — the plants are waiting!
